Your First Visit

Modern Sports Physio and Wellness Centre, providing physiotherapy in Orleans, Ontario, will deliver your customized one-on-one therapy programs in a private room.

For your first visit, you can expect to receive a thorough assessment of your injury or condition in order to determine the cause of your pain or discomfort. We will discuss our findings with you and present a recommended customized program of care. This process will take approximately one hour.

Follow-up appointments when the physiotherapy is delivered will normally last 30 minutes.

Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing to your appointments so that you can move easily and the physiotherapist can access the injured part of your body.

For your first visit, please bring with you a list of any prescribed or over-the-counter medication that you take regularly, and any prescriptions or reports from your doctor.

You will spend your entire visit each time with the physical therapist. Such close attention allows us to carefully observe your progress and make any modifications needed to your program of physiotherapy.

Our goal is to help you return to your normal level of activity as quickly as possible.

In the Province of Ontario, it is not necessary to have a doctor’s referral to receive physiotherapy treatments. However, if you have extended health care benefits, you are normally required to have a doctor’s referral in order to claim the treatments. Please call your insurance provider to be clear on whether you need a doctor’s referral or not.
